William was called to the NSW Bar in April 2010 and has practised from 2 Wentworth Chambers since that date.

William practices principally in criminal law and commercial matters.

William specialises in commercial equity matters, building and construction law, planning law, strata law, insolvency, taxation litigation and advisory, succession law and in criminal law, as a defence counsel, in serious and indictable criminal law matters.

In 2021, William was appointed to the Legal Aid Indictable Crime and Legal Aid Complex Crime panels.

Since his call, he regularly appears as an advocate in most State and Federal Courts and Tribunals.

Prior to being called to the NSW Bar, William spent his early career working in management accounting roles (in the telecommunication industry) and thereafter in tax consulting roles within the Big Four accounting firms.  William’s background is primarily in commerce and he is also a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).

William regularly presents papers at legal conferences and he also serves on professional leadership committees relevant to his practice areas.

William has a particular interest in tax law, building and construction law, insolvency law, and crime.

William has also lectured part-time for around 4 years at Western Sydney Uni Law school in the LLB program and he presently works as a consultant for the Tax Institute (TIA) assisting the TIA write and mark their education programs.
