Jake presently accepts Briefs in any area of the law.
Jake was called to the Bar in 2022 and is currently undertaking his Readership. Jake was called to the Bar at 27 years of age.
Jake has previous experience in the areas of commercial litigation, common law, employment law and criminal law. Jake has particular experience with contract law, insurance law, insolvency, bankruptcy, negligence, workers compensation, unfair dismissal, adverse action, workplace discrimination and employment contractual disputes.
Prior to coming to the Bar Jake first practised as a generalist solicitor in a firm in Wollongong, with a specific focus on commercial litigation. Jake then practised as the Senior Lawyer for NSW in a firm in Sydney, working predominantly on motor vehicle negligence claims.
Jake has appeared unled in Bankruptcy Hearings in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Winding-Up Hearings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Directions in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Motions and Trials in the District Court of New South Wales, Motions and Hearings in the Local Court of New South Wales and Hearings in the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). Jake has also appeared unled in the Magistrates Court of South Australia and the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT).
Jake also has experience with Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms such as Mediations, Arbitrations and Conciliations.
