  • Wik Peoples v The State of Queensland & Ors [1996] HCA 40 – worked as part of the legal team for the Wik peoples both during and after the High Court decision whilst an articled clerk at Ebsworth & Ebsworth (1996 –1998).
  • Interchase Corporation Limited (in liqu) v Grosvenor Hill (Qld) Pty Ltd and Ors No 1 [1999] 1 QdR 141 – acted for the PI insurer of Hillier Parker (the licensed valuers) in this series of cases, including the special leave application to the High Courtand the Supreme Court cases concerninglegal professional privilege and experts’ reports. (1996 – 2001).
  • James Hardie Royal Commission – worked as Deloitte’s in house counsel for Trowbridge Deloitte at the Commission and associated disputes (2004 – 2008).
  • Liquidator of Normans Wines Limited (Rec and Man App) (in Liqu) v Harvey &Ors [2004] SASC 192 / Sandhurst Trustees Limited v Harvey & Ors [2004] SASC 157 – worked as in - house counsel for Deloitte following Deloitte being sued as auditor of the large SA based wine group (2004 – 2006).
  • Parmalat Securities litigation against Deloitte & Touche – assisted the global legal team on the legal actions and disputes against Deloitte & Touche as the auditor of the Italian diary manufacturer (2008 – 2009).
  • United States v Siemens AG – was part of the global forensic team that undertook the world’s largest FCPA investigations and assisted in the provision of reports to the US Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission (2007 - 2009).
  • Buzzle Operations Pty Ltd (In liqu) v Apple Computers Australia Pty Ltd & Anor [2010] NSWSC 233 – led Deloitte’ legal team in defence of this action (2005 – 2009).
  • Public Trustee of Queensland v Octaviar Limited (formerly MFS Limited) 2008 QSC 27 – as in-house counsel Victoria defended the Deloitte liquidators’ in the removal action brought against them in the Queensland Supreme Court by the Public Trustee of Queensland (2009).
  • Melbourne Storm salary cap investigation – worked as part of Deloitte’s legal and forensic team that conducted the investigation on behalf of News Limited (2010 – 2011).
  • Visy Packaging Australia Pty Ltd v Federal Commissioner of Taxation – Victoria was the instructing solicitor for the Visy Group in its ‘Southcorp’ tax case against the ATO in the Federal Court in Melbourne. In November 2012 Justice Middleton found in favour of Visy and reversed the ATO’s $100M+ tax assessment against Visy. The ATO did not appeal the decision (2010 - 2012)
