Timothy specialises in common law and administrative law. He has particular expertise in industrial accidents, motor vehicle accidents, public liability and professional negligence claims.

Regularly appearing in the Supreme and District Courts and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Timothy has appeared in most courts and tribunals in New South Wales. Numerous matters in which he has appeared as Counsel have been appealed to the Court of Appeal or High Court. Timothy also has extensive experience representing clients at mediations and informal settlement conferences.

Timothy has been instrumental in organising seminars for the Tilbury Group (a Sydney common law seminar) over the last 10 years and has been a keynote speaker at most seminars on substantive law, procedure and ethics. He has also delivered seminars on work injury damages and the Civil Liability Act litigation for Continuing Professional Development Seminars (CPDS).
